Answers to the questions we get most, plus a direct line if you're still stuck.
Getting started
- Download the installer from the FieldLedger page and run it. The trial starts on first launch — no account needed.
- Your data lives in %APPDATA%\com.indmak.fieldledger — back it up before moving machines.
- To activate: open Settings → License, paste your key, and click Activate. You can use the app offline after that.
Common issues
- Windows SmartScreen warning: the installer is code-signed; choose More info → Run anyway if your build predates signing.
- License says device limit reached: a FieldLedger license runs on one computer at a time, and this one is already active on another machine. Deactivate it there (Settings → License → Deactivate), or email us if that computer is gone.
- Can't find your key: check the purchase email, or open your account page — keys are listed under My licenses.
- Trial shows expired but you bought: activate with your key; the trial and the license are independent.
- Trial length: 7 days per device, issued by our server on first start.
- Offline for a long time: the offline license is valid for 60 days; reconnect once to refresh it (no re-activation needed).
