Run your firm under one sky.
Firmament is a local-first operating system for modern law firms. Your clients, matters, conflicts, time and deadlines live on your own machine — never in our cloud — while paid modules for billing, AI and reporting snap on only if you need them.
Why firms leave the cloud
Solo and small firms don't want client data in someone else's database — and ethics rules demand conflict checks and deadline discipline. Firmament gives you modern software without the trade.
Data never leaves
One encrypted database on your machine. No backend, no data processing agreement, nothing to subpoena from us.
Compliance by default
Conflict checks before every new matter, redundant deadline reminders, audit trails, IOLTA guardrails.
Only pay for modules
Base is free. Add billing, AI or reporting one at a time — unlocks instantly, downgrades to read-only if you stop.
The whole sky, piece by piece
Six core modules at $8 a month each — or take everything through paid modules. Buy any 3 modules and get a 4th free — tell us which one and we'll grant it to your account. Signed in? Your modules are always listed under My account → Modules — no activation codes to type.

Create your free account
The base is $0. Register once on this site — the desktop app signs in with the same account after one browser approval, and never asks for your password.
Start the 14-day full trial
Every module unlocked for 14 days, no card. Try Case Lab on one of your own matters.
Keep the modules you use
Add modules in the app; they unlock instantly and sync to every machine on your account.
Firmament is in development — this page tracks the plan. Create an account and we'll let you know the moment the first build and the 14-day trial go live.

Only subscriptions, never a buyout. When a subscription ends, everything becomes read-only + exportable — your files stay yours.

Questions, answered
Where does my client data live?
On your own computer, in one encrypted database. There is no product backend and no per-firm cloud — that's the entire point: no data processing agreement, no data-residency questions, nothing for anyone to subpoena from us.
How do modules and trials work?
The base is free. Every paid module offers a 14-day trial that can't be taken twice — try Case Lab on a real matter. Keep the ones you use; unsubscribing drops a module to read-only plus export, with nothing deleted.
What happens when I stop paying?
Everything becomes read-only + exportable. You can view, search, print and export your full archive. The product never deletes or locks away your files.
Which platforms and languages?
Windows first, then macOS. English, Spanish and Simplified Chinese, following your system — English if yours isn't available.
Is this legal advice?
No. Firmament organizes records and applies jurisdiction rule packs, but the rules belong to your local bar — always confirm with counsel.
