Everything you need to install, activate, and get value from FieldLedger on day one.
Install & activate
- System requirements: Windows 10 or later, 4 GB RAM, 500 MB free space, 1366×768 minimum resolution.
- The installer bundles the WebView2 runtime, so setup does not download extra components. Starting the trial or activating a license needs an internet connection once; day-to-day use works offline.
- Activation binds the license to one machine fingerprint (single seat); deactivate before moving to a new computer.
Records & safety
- Field Logs: spray, fertilize, plant, irrigate, cultivate, harvest — with copy-last-entry and batch entry across blocks.
- REI/PHI: every spray record shows earliest re-entry time and earliest harvest date automatically.
- Harvest & traceability: each harvest gets a lot code; Trace Lot runs a one-up/one-back query and checks PHI compliance.
Money
- Expenses map to IRS Schedule F categories, with per-crop and per-acre rollups.
- Exports: CSV with UTF-8 BOM (opens correctly in Excel) and print-ready PDFs.
Compliance & loan paperwork
- GAP/FSMA records: training, water tests (90-day overdue alerts), sanitation, wildlife, compost.
- FSA materials: cash-flow projection, balance sheet, business plan, document checklist — exportable as a packet.
Backups
FieldLedger writes a daily backup and keeps the last 14. Use Backup now before OS updates, and keep a copy off the machine (USB drive is fine).
