Released 2026-09-20.
- New installs open a start page: Start free trial or enter your license key. Machines that are already activated skip the page and verify the existing key in the background.
- The trial start date is issued by our license server the first time you press Start free trial — one start per device. Reinstalling, deleting the data folder, or changing the computer clock cannot restart it.
- The trial date is stored back encrypted (in the data folder and %PROGRAMDATA%), so it cannot be edited by hand.
- Starting the trial needs one internet connection; the app works offline afterwards.
- If records were entered over a period longer than the trial — measured by a system-set entry time that cannot be backdated — the trial ends too. Your data stays readable and exportable.
- Privacy page updated: it now lists the trial-start request (hashed machine fingerprint + device name only, never farm data) and the encrypted local trial storage.

- Add-on photos (Equipment, Storage & Sales, HR) now follow the same administrator-only rules as the records themselves.
- "I already bought it — check" now unlocks newly purchased add-ons on this computer.
- The trial can no longer be reset by reinstalling the app or restoring an old backup.
- One-time licenses now show an "offline file refresh" date instead of a misleading expiry date.
- Restoring a backup no longer needs an active license (administrator only), so records can always be recovered.

- Settings: farm profile and Labor & backup sit side by side; Automatic backup and Backups are separate full-width cards. The manual Seasons section is gone (the current year's season is created automatically).

- User accounts: single-user mode by default, or a farm owner plus worker accounts. Workers see records but not costs, setup, exports, or settings — enforced in the backend, not just hidden in the UI.
- Switch user from the top bar: the owner switches freely; returning to the owner account requires the admin password.
- Record lock for compliance: a record becomes read-only the day after it is logged. An administrator can unlock one to make a correction, and every unlock and change is recorded (who, when, why, before/after).
- The correction trail can be viewed under Admin and exported as a Correction log PDF.
- Every record now stores the operator who entered it.
- Reports: your farm profile (name, address, FSA number) prints in the footer of every generated PDF; each report keeps only its newest file; Net Farm Income can run for all seasons or a single year.
- GAP audit pack: range selector dialog, runs in the background, and reports pages / size / records / time.
- Home page: quick-entry rows for field activities and safeguard records (with help tips) and per-item document lists — open, send to Desktop, or send to USB.
- Fixed: the Soil Amendments PDF was never generated; long file names no longer overlap table columns.
- Start-up: branded splash screen; the license check no longer delays the first screen or freezes on network stalls; smaller installer.

Data compatibility promise
We will not break your data. Before any update that changes the database format, we ship an automatic migration and keep a pre-upgrade backup. Major-version upgrades are announced at least 90 days in advance.
Downloads & versions
The download page always serves the newest stable build. We keep the last three installers available (for reinstalling or rolling back); older builds are removed from distribution. Your license works across all 1.x versions.
