Questions from the field
Do I need internet to use it? How long can I stay offline?
Recording, reports, printing, backups and exports never need the internet. A connection is required in exactly two moments: starting the free trial (the start date is issued by our server, so it can't be reset by reinstalling or changing the clock) and activating a license.
After that you can work fully offline for up to 60 days at a time. While online, the app re-checks your license about once a day and quietly refreshes the offline file; if you're offline, that check simply waits. If you're away from any connection for longer than 60 days, reconnect once and the offline file is refreshed — no re-activation, no re-typing your key.
Can I try before buying?
Yes — a 7-day free trial that starts the first time you press Start free trial on the welcome screen. The start date is issued by our license server, so reinstalling the app, deleting its data folder or changing your computer clock cannot restart it. When the trial ends your data stays fully visible and exportable — buying unlocks the write features again.
How many computers can I activate?
Your license runs on one computer at a time (single seat). Moving to a new computer is easy: open the app on the old one → Settings → License → Deactivate, then activate the new machine. If the old computer is gone (died, stolen, wiped), contact support@indmak.com and we'll free the seat for you.
What happens if I stop using it?
Nothing is held hostage. Your data lives in a local file and full CSV/PDF export is built in. This is a one-time purchase — there is nothing to cancel.
What if it doesn't work for my farm?
Ask for a refund within 14 days of purchase — no questions asked. See the refund policy. Your records stay yours either way: full CSV/PDF export is built in.
Is this tax or legal advice?
No. FieldLedger organizes records and produces paperwork aligned to Schedule F, GAP and FSMA conventions, but always confirm with your accountant or auditor.
